This month marks the one year anniversary of the Three Peaks Interactive Entrepreneurial Workshops and you definitely do not want to miss our guest speaker Denvor Phokaners.
As a visionary and strategist, CEO of Enterprise Development Essentials (EDE) Denvor Phokaners aims to change the negative perception that surrounds BEE and to ensure that enterprise development, preferential procurement and socio economic development strategies bring about a quantifiable impact in the lives of all South Africans.
Phokaners started EDE in 2010 to provide companies with a turnkey solution to achieve their transformational goals while also earning points on their BBBEE scorecard. This is done by focusing on maximising Return on Investment (ROI) for the company by developing a policy and strategy and by implementing the transformation programme with emphasis on an increase in profits. Phokaner’s professional passion entails facilitating the development of SME’s and one of his greatest achievements has been to procure 5 corporate clients in less than 12 months.
Phokaners’ expertise is supported by his many years of experience in the industry. He has also worked as a financial planner at Quantum Financial Solutions, a global business development manager at NCC Education in the United Kingdom, a regional sales manager at Imperial Car Rental, a group business development manager at Digital Solutions Group and as the national general manager at Enablis.
Apart from his corporate career, Phokaners also released 2 music albums, wrote a song for an American animation movie called “Lion of Judah”, and wrote a chart topping song called “Time Bomb”. In his acting career, he presented SABC 2’s variety show “The Singing Buffalo” and currently acts as Gershwin D Forture in the new SABC 2 programme “Colour TV”. Phokaners also recorded FW De Klerk’s 70th Birthday party as De Klerk’s private Videographer.
A year ago Three Peaks launched the Interactive Entrepreneurial Workshops with the focus of supporting, nurturing and inspiring business owners at whatever level they were or were striving to. The feedback has been phenomenal and many have applauded these workshops for offering them a platform to share, learn and grow through the experiences of others who have walked the road to success. The most common response has been that the platform offers business owners an opportunity to connect and realise that that they are not alone and problems experienced are often shared with others in completely unrelated businesses.
